Dress-up in Mommy's Closet
Betsy's always teasing me about Burley being too girly because he's only ever around me. He says things like "how cute!" So when he decided to play dress-up in my closet, I was a little worried, until I saw what he was dressing up as. He took all my belts & my knee-high boots & suddenly he was a pirate! He walked around the house (as best as he could in those boots) yelling, "Aargh, I'm a pirate & I'm gonna get ya!" So, Betsy, HA! There! See!

Tornado

I slept through an F3 tornado Easter Sunday night. I blame it on the fact that I didn't get a solid hour of sleep the night before. I slept through the sirens, the 150mph winds, the trees down all around my apartment. Crazy. I didn't get power until Wednesday. I had to break into my 72 hour kit a few times for candles, lighters, flashlights, etc. Those things come in handy! Scottsboro still looks like a war zone, but they're slowly getting things cleaned up. I've never seen so many trees uprooted in my life! I'm talking roots as big as my van, just popped out of the ground like they were light as air.

Easter

We spent Easter weekend at Poppy & Nana's house. We had an Easter egg hunt on saturday & then went to Decatur ward for Easter Sunday. Amazingly the Easter bunny knew where Burley was & filled his basket with goodies. He got a lot of SpiderMan loot this year.
Betsy and her kids stayed the weekend too, so we got to have a sleepover. We thought it was going to be fun. We planned to put the kids to bed, then watch Twilight with Pati & paint our toenails. Things didn't go as planned. The kids didn't fall asleep until about 10p.m. & then Burley woke up crying ALL NIGHT LONG. We finally figured out that he wasn't used to hearing a baby cry all night like Betsy's kids are, so Hogie was waking him up.
